Dự kiến công nghệ (Tech) sẽ tăng trưởng đến 5.3% trong năm 2022, và giai đoạn 2021- 2024 sẽ tăng đến 22.4%.

Trong khi đó đến hơn 55% công ty công nghệ tại Canada đang bị thiếu hụt nguồn lao động mà họ cần để phát triển, vị vậy tìm kiếm thêm nhân sự nước ngoài đang là một giải pháp tối ưu.

Express Entry

Express Entry là chương trình khá phổ biến đối với dân công nghệ khi lựa chọn định cư Canada. Express Entry có 3 nhánh chính là: Federal skilled worker (diện tay nghề liên bang cho người nước ngoài), Canadian experience class (diện tay nghề dành cho người có kinh nghiệm làm việc tại Canada), và Federal skilled trades (diện tay nghề thợ liên bang). Trong đó, Federal skilled worker là lựa chọn tốt nhất cho dân công nghệ chưa có kinh nghiệm làm việc tại Canada.

Mặc dù Express entry sử dụng hệ thống tính điểm CRS, tuy nhiên gần đây bộ trưởng bộ di trú đã ám chỉ về việc sẽ rút hồ sơ Express entry dựa trên nghề nghiệp, việc này sẽ giúp cho chính phủ lựa chọn được ứng viên theo nhu cầu thị trường lao động của Canada. Trong khi đó, nhu cầu lao động cho ngành công nghệ là rất cao, chính vì vậy đây sẽ là một tin rất tốt cho các ứng viên trong lĩnh vực này.

Đây là chương trình đề cử tỉnh bang của British Columbia, chương trình dành cho ứng viên có thư nhận việc (job offer) trong 27 mã ngành công nghệ:

Lợi thế của chương trình này là nhà tuyển dụng không cần có LMIA, thay vào đó tỉnh bang British Columbia sẽ cấp “letter of support” cho ứng viên đủ điều kiện, và ứng viên sẽ sử dụng thư support này để nộp hồ sơ xin giấy phép lao động (work permit).

Đây là chương trình đề cử tỉnh bang mới của Saskatchewan nhằm mục đích tuyển dụng ứng viên cho lĩnh vực công nghệ. Ứng viên cần có thư nhận việc được chấp thuận “job approval letter” thuộc một trong các mã ngành:
